TRAUMA & SEXUAL EXPLOITATION COUNSELING (Jess only)

Jess utilizes a person-centered approach to trauma healing, integrating EMDR, IFS, and CBT to support deep and lasting transformation. EMDR is widely recognized for providing rapid and effective relief from the emotional distress of trauma by using electronic bilateral stimulation to engage the brain’s natural processing system, helping clients reduce distress, form healthier connections, and develop more positive beliefs so they can move forward feeling “unstuck.” With significant experience working with all forms of trauma and abuse, in addition to her own personal story, Jess also specializes in supporting survivors of sexual exploitation—an issue that impacts individuals of every gender, race, and age, both locally and globally, and includes experiences such as trafficking and prostitution. In the midst of such profound harm, there is real hope; drawing from both professional expertise and personal insight, Jess walks alongside survivors to equip them with the tools needed to heal, reclaim their identity, and transform their lives. As a certified EMDR therapist, she uses this powerful modality to process and reframe negative core beliefs rooted in trauma, offering this as a specialized professional service exclusively through her care.

BIBLICAL COUNSELING (Either Jess or Ira)

Biblical counseling is offered as a faith-based service rooted in the truth and authority of Scripture, designed to provide encouragement, guidance, and spiritual support through a Christian worldview. This approach focuses on aligning thoughts, behaviors, and life decisions with biblical principles while fostering a deeper relationship with God. Biblical counseling may include prayer, scripture reflection, and discussions centered on spiritual growth and personal challenges. Please note: Biblical counseling is not professional therapy, mental health treatment, or a substitute for licensed counseling services. It is a spiritual support service and should be used alongside, not in place of, clinical care when needed. Both Jess & Ira are available for this service and is not a licensed or professionally clinical offering, it Is fully spiritually based.

CoTherapy™ COUPLES BIBLICAL COUNSELING (Both Jess and Ira)

Biblical couples counseling is a faith-based service designed to help couples grow in unity, communication, and commitment through the guidance of Scripture and a Christ-centered perspective. In these 90-minute sessions, both couples meet together as a group of four, creating a unique environment for shared encouragement, accountability, and mutual support while exploring biblical principles for marriage, conflict resolution, and spiritual leadership through a co-therapy model. Jess was trained and mentored by Rick Elgersma and Monique Elgersma, founders of CoTherapy™, which provides a balanced and supportive space where each individual feels seen, heard, and understood without the process becoming one-sided. With two facilitators present, each person benefits from having an advocate along with two additional perspectives that bring greater clarity, insight, and depth, often helping couples move through challenges more effectively with less miscommunication. The extended session time allows for deeper exploration, meaningful conversation, prayer, and reflection, helping couples cover more ground and, in many cases, spend less time in counseling overall. Please note: Biblical couples counseling is not professional therapy, mental health treatment, or a substitute for licensed counseling services; it is a spiritual support service intended to complement, not replace, clinical care when needed.

Healing + Deliverance Session
(Both Jess and Ira)

The spiritual world operates on authority, with God as the ultimate authority who gives us free will to choose obedience or disobedience. Like Adam and Eve, our choices have consequences, and Scripture provides guidance for living. There is also a spiritual battle, where the enemy seeks to influence us through lies, sin, or confusion about our identity, leading to oppression rather than possession. The good news is that through Jesus Christ, we are offered forgiveness, freedom, and the power to overcome, bringing hope, healing, and restoration.

Jess and Ira work with individuals, couples, and families to gently guide them through a simple, focused process rooted in Scripture and prayer, helping them identify and overcome spiritual strongholds in their lives. Together, they create a supportive and faith-centered space where truth replaces lies, identity is restored, and healing can begin. This process is designed to bring clarity, freedom, and alignment with God’s truth through intentional, biblically grounded steps. Please note this is a free ministry service and not tied to or meant to replace any therapy or counseling services.

Group Education, Training, & Consulting

As a survivor of sexual exploitation, I am humbled to be able to walk with people through the healing process into the life they never thought was possible! I am living proof that healing is very possible!

Sexual Exploitation is an issue impacting every gender, race, and age group both locally and globally. Sexual Exploitation is when an individual takes advantage of the vulnerabilities of another individual to obtain sexual favors. Sexual Exploitation includes trafficking and prostitution. It is estimated that 4.8 million people are trapped in forced sexual exploitation globally.

Many survivors of Sexual Exploitation have experienced abuse that is hard to fathom resulting in the experiences of survivors often being dismissed as fabricated. Many of the stories displayed in media of Sexual Exploitation are some of the worst of the worst and often result in a survivor minimizing her own experiences. Additionally, when survivors do reach out for support, they are often met with well-intentioned community members and providers that do not have the education and training necessary to support survivors well resulting in further shame and hurt.

In addition to all of these concerns, survivors often experience acute and long-term debilitating consequences of the abuse they experienced that impacts their understanding of God, relationship with others, and overall satisfaction with life. Survivors can experience sleep disturbances, emotional detachment, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, interpersonal disturbances, health concerns, revictimization, etc.

In the midst of such horror, there is hope. Jess utilizes her professional and personal experience with this issue to walk alongside and equip survivors with the tools necessary to overcome the abuse of sexual exploitation and transform their lives. Jess is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and utilizes this breakthrough modality to process negative core beliefs associated with trauma. EMDR is recognized for bringing quick and lasting relief from the emotional distress of trauma. Jess utilizes electronic, bilateral hand simulation to mimic the brain’s natural processing systems to decrease distress, develop new connections and increase positive thoughts. As a result, the client is able to get “unstuck” and move forward in a powerful way.
